A new multi-use development proposed for Fuquay-Varina is looking to add hundreds of new homes to the rapidly growing town.
If approved, the development would include hundreds of new residential units and more than 50,000 square feet of commercial space on Ten Ten Road.
Site plans for the Royal Creek development feature 164 single-family and town home units, 264 apartments and 52,000 square feet of commercial space, according to town records.
The project is broken up into three plans, one for the commercial space, one for the apartments and one for single-family homes and town homes.
If approved, Royal Creeks will be situated on Ten Ten Road with access to Daddy Road. County records show Cambridge Properties paid $2.1 million for the land.
Estimated timelines and unit prices are unclear as company officials did not immediately return calls for comment.
Fuquay-Varina has seen explosive growth over the last decade, in a trend that is only expected to continue over the next few years.
The town website lists dozens of ongoing and proposed residential projects bringing thousands of homes and commercial spaces to an area that once listed a population of only 6,000 people.
