Publix to open another grocery store in Charlotte region, anchoring new shopping center

The Lakeland, Florida-based grocer has executed a lease for a roughly 48,000-square-foot store at Harris Farms Shopping Center. That’s at the northwest corner of Coddle Creek Highway and Kistler Farm Road, near downtown Mooresville.
“The community’s growth and numerous requests from customers to expand our footprint in Mooresville made this an ideal location. We look forward to bringing Publix’s premier service and quality to our customers at Harris Farms Shopping Center,” says Kim Reynolds, spokeswoman.
It is slated to open in 2024.
Publix has more than 1,260 stores across seven states. That includes 50-plus stores in North Carolina and 23 in the Charlotte market.
Three additional store locations have been announced, including Huntersville, the Arboretum in south Charlotte and uptown Charlotte.
